Dave's New Kitchen
Where to begin other than by quoting from the book of the Dead and saying
“What a long strange trip it’s been…”
For the past three years, Dave’s New Kitchen has been carrying on the better traditions of the fallen
Dave’s Italian Kitchen. We still strive to serve real, homemade food at reasonable prices to the Evanston community.
Being in our new small space means that we can spend more time & other resources (aka money) focusing on our limited menu. Being small means that we cook in small batches. Being small means that
it’s simple for us to re-work our menu and our seating. Being small has helped us to be eco-friendlier.
Being small has some negatives – we can no longer seat groups of twenty or more.
We do not have space for children (or adults) to wander about.
But we do have a large window and you can now look onto our very pleasant neighborhood.
You may order online from our website and it is to our mutual advantage if you do so. Ordering online means that you don’t have to wait on telephone hold & paying online helps lessen your wait time when you arrive to pick up your food. And when you order online for pick-up, we offer a 5% discount.
We have recently become part of Postmates delivery network so you can now
order our homemade food for delivery through their app.
Please bear in mind that when you order through them, we have no control over how their service functions.
We do not take reservations but there is usually available seating on week nights. Even on busy Fridays & Saturdays, we generally have some seating and when full, our wait times are significantly less than at the old place.
One of the many advantages of having a smaller restaurant is that our efficiency is so much better.
Please: We cannot seat incomplete parties. When in season, we offer outdoor dining.
We have done several private groups of up to 30 people on Saturdays & Sundays @ lunch time.
Please email me for details.
We do have a liquor license & are serving a limited though growing number of wines.
We have at least 3 Reds & 2 Whites available by the glass and several more by the bottle.
We have 4 beers, all from Evanston’s Sketchbook. You may BYO – corkage charges apply.
We are located about a block east of the Purple Line stop on Noyes Street.
There is a limited amount of street parking and a small pay lot at the “L” stop.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
